Five Question Friday

1. Tube socks, calf socks, crew, ankle, none?      That would have to be ankle socks. Everything else makes me feel claustrophobic and I am unable to go barefooted with shoes, that creeps me out too. Around the house, at the beach, near the pool, and places like that, I will go barefoot. But overall preferred — ankle socks, thanks!

2. Was your childs (children’s) name a mutual decision or was it a debate?  We agreed that he would name the girls and I would name the boys. Then we tossed ideas back and forth, but pretty much, we agreed with the names from the start.  I knew what I wanted to name my son before I even had a son, but I was willing to compromise if my husband didn’t like the name. Thankfully, though, he liked the name. Once we had a first name, the middle came naturally enough. It had to meet our criteria of syllables and ability to roll off the tongue in an easy way.

3. What is your favorite type of weather?  Oh, I’d say anywhere from not freezing (60*F) to not melting (90*F). The perfect weather would be 75 and sunny. I don’t mind overcast, just not humidity.

4. If left to your own devices, what time would you wake up every day? This is a toughy. I would like to wake up at 7 am. However, I have been waking up at 5:30 for so long, my mind thinks 6 is too long to be in bed and my eyes automatically pop open, forcing me to choose between tossing and turning for the next hour or to give in and get out of bed. I enjoy the peaceful morning time, and gladly get up — I enjoy doing my daily exercises and sneaking in a few minutes of “me time” before the rest of the house wakes up.

5. Have you bought your cemetery plots yet? We have been discussing this lately due in part to family things going on with our parents. We are trying to decide where we want these shells to rest. I opted for cremation, I don’t care where the ashes go–I won’t be there. My only wish to my husband and family was not to worship the place of my departure, instead rejoice in the life we shared.
